Insurgent activity in the front yard


Not the best way to start your morning, to discover this in your front yard. We had noticed some signs of insurgent activity in the side yard earlier, but this brazen act of provocation is obviously designed to draw us out into the open. Disarming these IEDs will require patience and skill, but it has to be done. Otherwise, the terrorists have won.

Don't let the terrorists win! Arm yourself with plastic sheeting and duct tape. A 22 might not hurt either. What the 'F' is your cat on strike? Damned union supporter.

I think the cat is actually working with the insurgents. He doesn't know I'm on to him. Once false move and I will come down on that cat like a dozen Dobermans.

There is no doubt the insurgents must be punished for these brutal attacks. But be careful as there are those who will stand up for the insurgents. Don't you think you might destroy your reputation in the world by defending your territory? Your treatment of them must be civil and humane. If you catch them you must treat them with dignity and respect before setting them free. Woe to the war monger who defends his territory from attack!

Indians owned slaves? Did I sleep through that history lesson?

There's a story in the news about a vote in the Cherokee Nation to change their definition of citizenship, restricting it to descendants "by blood." The story goes on to say that this change will cut off the descendants of blacks whose ancestors were slaves to Cherokee owners. What? Wait a minute, what?? Indians owned slaves? The expression we've all heard is "you can't be too rich or too thin." I suppose that gets said a lot around the tennis court at the country club, the changing room at Sak's?
